Pro Surf Camp Morocco

No there isn’t. If you booked a package for a week (Surf Coaching, Bed and Breakfast), you can arrive any day you want. We will arrange a taxi lift which will take you from Agadir or Essaouira Airport to the surf camp, and we will do the same for your departure. Both are included in the package price. In case you’re coming just for a couple of days, we can still arrange a taxi to pick you up at the airport but it will not be included (30€ each way).

Beach towel, pen (for arrival/departure form at passport control), swimsuit, sunscreen (we recommend 30+, better is 50 for surfing), sunglasses, flip flops, beach bag, plastic bag (for transport of your wet wetsuit), something warm to wear at night or after surf in the beach (especially in wintertime).

Pro Surf Camp Morocco is based in the north of Agadir in the towns of Aourir and Tamraght. We are 15km from the city of Agadir, and it’s a 45 min drive from Agadir Al Massira international airport. Agadir Airport is a short flight (2-4 hours) from most European cities.

The official language in Morocco is Arabic and berber, but the majority of Moroccans also speak French and english. In small villages, the local Berber population speaks Tamazight as well. In tourist areas, the majority of Moroccans speak a good level of English too. Our staff members speak Arabic, English, French, German and Tamazight.

We prefer if guests pay their deposit via PayPal 100Eeuro. The rest of the payment should be done in cash upon your arrival.

Children of all ages with parents are welcome but we do not have specialized childcare facilities only surf lessons and extra activities we have available

The Moroccan currency is the Dirham. Exchange rates are around 11/€. Moroccan Dirhams are not always offered at exchange counters outside of Morocco, and the exchange rate is probably better in the Morocco. You will find the exchange facilities and ATMs at the airport. There are also plenty of ATMs in Agadir or Essaouria. There is no ATM in Imsouane ! The closest ATM is in Tamri Beach, which is away a 30 minutes drive.
We do not recommend you bring Traveller’s cheques. They cannot be exchanged at the airport or locally, and there are only a few places in Agadir that will change them (at a disadvantageous exchange rate).

In Morocco, you will find over 300 days of sunshine a year. Between the months of November to February, there is a small chance of rain. The winter months are famous of their waves. During this time of the year, you will have the chance to surf some of the best waves in the world. The summer months from April to October are full of sunny days. You can find small to medium waves the best time for beginners to start surfing.
The water temperature in winter is 16-20°C, in summer it is around 20°C maybe a little bit warmer. We recommend you to surf with a 3/2mm full suit in the wintertime and in the summertime it is possible to surf with a shorty. But it is your personal choice and depends on your tolerance. Most of our surf school wetsuits are 3/2 full suits.

Although Islam forbids the consumption of alcohol by Muslims, and alcohol is not sold in agadir city, it can be bought in Agadir in some shops. Note that stores stop selling alcohol at 8 pm. There’s the possibility to sit in and have a drink in taghazout and tamraght in some bars.

The time zone in Morocco is GMT (Casablanca).

Let us know in advance if you have any special requirements, and we will do our best to make sure we have what you need. Any vegetarians need to tell us if they also exclude milk and cheese, honey or eggs from their diets.

If you are renting a car, please ensure you have a valid EU driving license that shows you have been driving for at least one year. The law insists that you always carry your license and car hire documents with you when driving in Morocco. Seat belts must be worn at all times and mobile phone use while driving is a finable offense. Police and gendarmerie checkpoints are common along the routes and you must slow down or even stop and wait for them to wave you through. Watch out for police hiding with speed radar. They will stop you and find you an on-the-spot payment. In Morocco, as in Europe driving is on the right. The main roads in the area are relatively new though they are generally narrower and may sometimes have bumps and potholes, especially after periods of rain.

For sure yeah for 1000% you can! The majority of our guests come alone. It is a perfect way to become a Solid Family member, meet new friends for life or even find your future soul mate!

We have all kinds of different sizes and surfboard shapes for every level. It doesn’t matter if you are a beginner, intermediate, advanced or pro surfer, we have the right board for you! Our surfboards are made of high-quality epoxy or polyester resin and for beginners we have the best soft-tops available in the market by FLOWT and Torq Nsp . This means the best possible performance on the water. However, boards can be easily damaged if they’re not handled properly, in this case repairs cost must be paid by the user. For a small fee you can insure your rented board to cover all the damages. In the possible event that you lose the board or parts of it, you will still have to take over the costs despite the insurance.

The average water temperature is about 17 to 20 you need wetsuit during you stay we have one for you

Surf lessons are professional lessons done by a certified surf school. ProSurf recommends surf lessons to beginners who have never surfed before in order to get a basic knowledge about the waves and first training with soft-top surfboards in order to reduce the risk of injuries and cuts. We offer a sex-day (six lessons) Learn-to-Surf package for all our beginners. Those lessons need to be booked separately and are not included in our room / surf guiding packages. Surf guiding means that our professional surf guides will take you to surf spots that match your ability, give you a detailed spot introduction and are in the water with you to support you in catching as many waves as possible. Our surf guides will provide you with feedback and give you advice on how to improve your surfing skills. A beginner who is booked into a three-day Learn-to-Surf program can already join the afternoon surf guided sessions of ProSurf on the second day as the surf school lessons are provided in the morning

For absolute beginners we recommend our Sex-days Learn-to-Surf package. This way you save a lot of time and avoid making mistakes that are difficult to straighten out later on. Along with the surf school course, you can surf a second time later in the day with our surf guides (depending on surf conditions). If you can handle a take-off and manage to surf to the beach standing upright ahead of the white wash, you do not need to attend surf school and your best bet is our surf guiding where you’ll learn with lots of practice. Our surf guides will help you and give you lots of tips so you can take your surfing to the next level.

Learn-To-Surf package at the surf school includes: Surf equipment,transport,lunch,coaching. For the surf school and the surf guiding sessions you need to rent a board in advance or directly from the camp.

You can start the Learn-to-Surf course any day from next day of your arrival arrival day and departure surf is not included but you can book optional

The endless surf spots in Morocco have the right waves for all levels. If the swell is too big at the beach, our surf guides always know other spots with nice little breaks for our beginners

It is your responsibility to obtain adequate travel insurance before your trip. Everyone booking a holiday with Pro Surf Morocco must have full travel insurance. Pro Surf Morocco accepts no responsibility for loss, theft, damage or injury to persons or property during their stay.
